The stunning Light Up Wells Lantern Parade returns to illuminate the medieval quarter of Wells on Saturday 22nd October at 6.30 pm

Use your creative flair on your own or with your family or a group to make a stunning lantern out of tissue paper and willow. At our lantern making workshops we will provide you with basic instruction and the materials to create your own unique lantern. The theme for 2022 is The Natural World, so draw your idea in advance and bring it with you.

For each booking we are asking for a £5 donation to pay for one lantern kit, so please book a ticket for each person requiring a kit. Each kit will contain what you need to create a lantern, but you may need to buy extra willow and poles for more complicated lanterns. Please bring or buy battery operated lights to light up your lantern. If you have secateurs, they would be useful too. You will be able to buy more lantern kits and lights at the venue if you need them.

All donations towards the cost of this event will be gratefully received. Thank you. Please bring cash or a card. If you cannot pay for a lantern kit but would like to take part, please turn up on the day and we will try to accommodate you. These workshops are suitable for all.  Children under 7 will need help and should be accompanied by one adult per child.
