Join us for the grand finale – our 5th Lantern Parade, themed "Carnival of Animals"!
The parade kicks off at 6:30pm inside Wells Cathedral and will be led by Bristol's amazing Ambling Band. After the parade, enjoy refreshments in the Market Place to wrap up the evening.

Join our Lantern Making Workshops!
Create beautiful willow and paper lanterns – a fun, creative experience for all ages. Children under 7 need adult supervision, making it a perfect intergenerational activity.
Cost: £5 per lantern, includes willows and paper

Friday 3rd January 2025
Saturday 4th, Sunday 5th
Saturday 11th, Sunday 12th
Workshop Times: 10am - 1pm & 1pm – 4pm

Our workshops are perfect for beginners, and our volunteers will guide you through creating simple yet beautiful lantern designs. Using just willow and paper, there are lots of simple but effective designs to use as a base and just let your imagination run riot! No experience necessary!
